Each year, over 2,000 people are victims of disaster from fire in Passaic, Essex, & West Hudson Counties. Forty percent of these victims are children who have experienced devastating fear, loss of all their toys and clothes, and no longer have a home where they are safe and warm. The American Red Cross’s “Teddy for Tears” program provides teddy bears to cuddle for these traumatized children, and also helps feed and clothe them. If you would like, the ARC can attach a little card to the teddy you buy which will say: “Given with love,” from (your name). To sponsor more than one child, provide $10 for each child you wish to sponsor.
