Giulietta Gencarelli

Giulietta (nee Renne) Gencarelli, 89, of Little Falls, died Oct. 3, 2008.

Born in Italy, she was a Little Falls resident. She worked in the cafeteria at Preakness Hospital, Wayne, and was a parishioner of Our Lady of Pompeii Church, Paterson.

Wife to the late Antonio Gencarelli. Mother to Frank and his wife Nancy, Assunta Capalbo and her husband Joseph, Ida Perri and her husband Pasqale, Giuseppe and his wife Brigida, Carlino and his wife Antonia, and Ettore and his wife Gail. Grandmother to Roseanna Harrison and her husband Norman, Julie Vigorito and her husband Vinnie, Gino Capalbo and his wife Ella, Rosetta DeVincenzo and her husband Reno, Enzo Perri, Rosanne Suppa and her husband Anthony, Giulia Jansen and her husband David, Julianna Coppola and her husband Mike, AnnaMaria Gencarelli, Anthony Gencarelli and his wife Melissa, Denise Stampone and her husband Andre, Joseph Gencarelli, Gaetano Gencarelli, Samantha Gencarelli, Michael Gencarelli, and Nicholas Gencarelli. Great grandmother to 21. Also survived by sisters Elisabetta and Rosaria Gencarelli and many nieces and nephews.

Keith Griffiths

Keith Griffiths, 50, died Sept. 19, 2008.

Born in North Bergen, Griffiths grew up in Wayne, then lived in Sussex before moving to Vernon Township four years ago. He was the manager of the Cherry Ridge Rifle Range in Highland Lakes for the past four years. Previously, he was the vice president of Northeastern Poly Products in Paterson for 15 years. A member of the National Rifle Association, Griffiths loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was an animal activist and rasied German Shorthair Pointers.

Son of the late Robert Fred Griffiths, Keith Griffiths is survived by his mother Patricia Griffiths of Wayne; sisters Allyson Abramson of Elmwood Park and Lauri Griffiths of Greenwood Lake, N.Y., and nieces Crystal Abramson and Nina and Monica Griffiths.

Michael Hruska

Michael Hruska, 89, of West Paterson, died Oct. 2, 2008.

He was born in Pennsylvania and had lived in West Paterson. Hruska had many occupations throughout his life but before retiring, he worked as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service in Little Falls and West Paterson. He served his country as a member of the United States Army during World War II.

Hruska was a member of West Paterson American Legion Post # 238, the Montclair Barber Shop Chorus and was a parishioner of St. Bonaventure Church, Paterson.

Hruska may have been best known for volunteering his time to help others. He had a daily route of delivering day-old bagels to those who needed them most. He also converted his garage into a source for clothing that was boxed and sent to Hurricane Katrina survivors.

Husband to Helen (nee Chukinas). Father to Geraldine Weinberg, Elaine Hruska, and Lawrence Hruska and his wife Carol. Grandfather of four. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Wasyl Lenyk

Wasyl Lenyk, 82, died Oct. 5, 2008.

Husband of the late Anna (nee Kubiak). Father of Miron, Slawko, Wasyl Jr., Igor, Lesia Frawley, Orisia Dwyer and the late Oczana Davis. Grandfather of 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Born in Ukraine, he lived in Belgium and Germany before coming to Paterson in 1956 settling in Wayne in 1971. Wasyl was a butcher. He was a parishioner of the Ukrainian Orthodox Holy Ascension Church, Clifton.

Helen Lukaszewski

Helen (nee Evan) Lukaszewski, 91, died Oct. 2, 2008.

Born in Lee, Pa., Lukaszewski resided in Little Falls and West Paterson for the last 52 years. She retired in 1979 from Beattie Manufacturing Corp, formerly of Little Falls. Previously, she had been a seamstress in Pennsylvania. Lukaszewski was a parishioner and member of the Rosary Society of Holy Angels RC Church, Little Falls.

She was predeceased by her husband Frank in 2004; daughter Marian Cestone in 2006; and four sisters and four brothers.

Survivors include son Frank S. Lukaszewski of Blooming Grove, N.Y.; daughter Rita Ness and her husband Frank of Blooming Grove, N.Y.; son in law James D. Cestone of Little Falls; brother Paul Evans of Clifton; sister Irene Harcharik of E. Stroudsburg, Pa.; grandchildren James, Vincent and Suzanne Cestone, Shannon Renz, Joy Natale; and great granddaughters Natalie, Mallory and Julianna Cestone.

Mary Mihalko

Mary (nee Zdybel) Mihalko of Little Falls died Sept. 30, 2008.

Born in Passaic, Mihalko was raised in Clifton and lived in Saddle Brook for 30 years before moving to Little Falls 28 years ago. Before her retirement, she was employed as a medical technologist for the Paterson Board of Health. Previous employment was with St. Joseph's Hospital in Paterson. Mihalko was a parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church in Clifton where she was a former member of the Prime Timers.

She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Mihalko in 1980; brother Joseph Zdybel; and son-in-law Theodore Williams.

Survivors include daughter Linda A. Williams; sister Jean Krenicki; granddaughters Jaime and Meghan Williams; and great-grandson Ryder.

Norma Saginario

Norma Jean (nee Mazzeo) Saginario, 76, of Little Falls, died Sept. 29, 2008.

Born in Greenville, Pa., she lived in Paterson and Wayne before moving to Little Falls. She was an administrative staff member for West Essex Ob-Gyn, Verona, before retiring. Prior to that she was the office manager for Steron Inc., Paterson, for 20 years.

Wife of the late Carmen P. Saginario. Mother of Carmen Saginario Jr. and his wife Laura and Maryann Skaflestad and John Bogle. Grandmother of Dana, Steve and Kara, Kimberly, Anna, and Carmen.
